Pulitzer Foundation for the Arts
Client: Pulitzer Foundation for the Arts
Location: St. Louis, MO
Partners: Jane Mitchell
The Pulitzer Foundation for the Arts has become a meeting point for the arts in St. Louis and is a destination for visitors from around the world. Via helped to develop its programs and support them with sound operating support.
Prior to its opening in the Fall of 2001, Via worked with Emily Pulitzer to prepare for the dedication of the Pulitzer Foundation for the Arts, a non-profit cultural institution in St. Louis. The PFA, designed by Tadao Ando, is a unique resource for the study, enjoyment and contemplation of art and architecture within a serene and intimate setting. Via worked with Mrs. Pulitzer and the Foundation board of directors to determine long term staffing needs, prepare for visiting hours, and develop key media messages. Via produced written materials and the initial web site for the Foundation, worked with local media to cover the opening and helped design multiple preview events, and produced a lecture at Powell Symphony Hall with Tadao Ando, Richard Serra and Ellsworth Kelly.
